About

The UT Campus History Project features student research on the history of the UT Austin campus, thanks to content and support from the Collaborative Teaching Grant, LAITS, the Briscoe Center for American History, and the PCL Map Collection. These exhibits represent a sampling of the nearly 47 linear feet of official UT Archives housed in the Briscoe Center for American History. We've begun by collecting information--letters, images, newspaper accounts, and more--that will suggest the story of each building, person, statue, landmark, or event. Since we are just beginning, we're focusing on a few buildings and statues. We hope that students will contribute their research findings to tell the bigger stories associated with each exhibit and begin to create their own.
